Restorative Fitness and Active Recovery for Runners
A two-week workshop (two classes per week) to help runners recover from the NYC marathon. Restorative Fitness and Active Recovery (neuromuscular regeneration) help you move better, recover faster, reduce stress and restore energy.

Restorative Fitness can help runners with muscle imbalances, chronic pain, overuse injuries, IT band, runners knee, shin splints, patellofemoral pain or stiffness/restriction in key muscles. This total body restorative workshop addresses common mistakes runners make that decrease their performance & recovery:
- ineffective stretches
- inappropriate warm ups
- poor biomechanics
- weakness & imbalances
- breathing restrictions
Description: Restorative Fitness is a bodyweight training method that uses strength, flexibility, mobility and dynamic flow sequences to help you recover quicker, move better and get stronger. Active Recovery includes neuromuscular mobility drills, PNF flexibility and elements from diverse movement disciplines (Animal Flow, martial arts, yoga, dance) to enhance overall performance and recovery. Each class includes breathing exercises and self-massage using therapy balls.
Week 1: Core Stability, Spine & Posture
Week 2: Upper Back, Shoulders, Neck
Week 3: Low Back, Hips, Glutes & Pelvic Floor
Week 4: Lower Leg, Ankles, Feet
2 week semi-private workshop starting Nov 3, 2015
